ESTIMATED TAX BILLS: For the past several years the Township of Riverside was able to adopt the municipal budget in a timely manner, either the County of Burlington or State of New Jersey was not. Subsequently, the Burlington County Board of Taxation is unable to certify the Township’s Tax Rate in a timely manner. In accordance with Chapter 72, Laws of 1994, the on the recommendation of the Chief Financial Officer and Tax Collector to the Township of Riverside decides whether to issue estimated tax bills for the August tax payment. By mailing estimated tax bills, the Municipality will save taxpayers the unnecessary cost of interest expenses on borrowing tax anticipation notes. This will ensure our municipality will be able to meet its financial obligations. The estimated tax bill is the only tax bill you will receive for the August tax payment. To avoid interest charges, all payments must be received on or before August 10. Any payments received after August 10 have interest charged back to August 1. Once the tax rate is certified by the county tax bills will be mailed for the November, February and May Quarters.
